From Poet to Storyteller with Rebecca Balcárcel

Rebecca Balcárcel’s debut novel, THE OTHER HALF OF HAPPY, was named by Booklist as one of last year’s Top Ten First Novels. 

Loosely based upon her experiences growing up as an outsider to her Latinx heritage, she describes the the story as the book of her heart.

In this episode, we’ll learn how Rebecca overcame years of rejection and limiting self-beliefs around writing to become an acclaimed poet and storyteller.
